Ways to Volunteer
Foster Program
Our Foster Program is dedicated to saving lives and providing dogs and cats in need with a chance at a forever home. Since we don’t have a shelter facility, we depend on the kindness of foster families to offer a temporary, safe environment for animals awaiting transport. Most of our foster placements are short-term as we prepare for their next steps.
Paws and Claws Resource Center provides all necessary supplies, including crates, food, vaccinations, and any required medical care. We simply ask our volunteers to offer love and essential socialization.
We often need foster homes for:
- Pregnant or nursing mother dogs and cats
- Puppy or kitten litters who have lost their mother and require bottle feeding
- Single puppies or kittens that need socialization and/or are too young for adoption
- Adult dogs and cats found as strays, who need a safe space until a rescue partner can be found
